Single-hole faucets
Single-hole basin faucets provide precise volume and temperature control and are much easier to install than double-hole faucets. This type of faucet is best for countertops and sinks with only one hole, although there are a few exceptions, such as sink decks that have extra holes. These faucets can be attached to the basin using an escutcheon, also called a deck plate. Universal deck plates are available in a variety of finishes.
Widespread faucets
Widespread basin faucets are an affordable and stylish way to update your bathroom sink. They have a wider surface area and work well with three-hole mount sinks. Most have a four to eight-inch spread between the handles. If you need a replacement faucet, look for widespread faucets from popular brands like Kraus.
